Marie Y. Dupiton-Abay of Brockton died December 16th peacefully on her birthday at age 72 at home surrounded by family and friends. She was the wife of the late Tschaye Abay.
She was born in Jeremie, Haiti daughter of the late Gaspard and Amaya (Theodor) Charles. Marie was an owner of a family market in her home country. She loved to play the lottery and travel to the various casino's. She was known as a giver to all that knew her.
Marie is survived by a daughter Becky Dupiton of Malden, a son Alem Abay of Brockton, sisters and brothers, Andrea and her husband Frandley Lamour, Yanitte and her husband Yon Longin, Marthea Charles, Silvera Brunache, Wilton Brunache, Philip Brunache, Edith Brunache Bosse, Franklette Dimanche, Astrel and his wife Rachelle Dimanche, Margreth Jeudi, Francois Jeudi, Aliette Jeudi and Tigaspand Jeudi, nieces and nephews, Romina and her husband D'Andree Bastien, Rose Lamour, Frandley Lamour Jr, Rose Blonde Charles, Yves Charles, Kelly Charles, Sam Charles, Yvon Longin, Yancy Longin, Corale Bosse and Clowence Bosse, stepmother Anise Brunache and a sister-in-law Yvrose Charles.
Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Thursday December 21st at 8 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in Christ the King Church at 9 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday December 20th from 6-9 pm.
