Ricardo "Rick" Kuhner, 58, of Fairhaven passed away December 14, 2017 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was the husband of Elizabeth J. Fisher.
Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, the son of Augustus E. Kuhner of Albany, New York and Cidalia (DaRosa) Kuhner of New Bedford, he lived in New Bedford and Fairhaven most of his life.
Rick was employed by Titleist for over 30 years taking pride in perfecting the golf ball dimple. This was only surpassed by his love for cooking Christmas brunch, "Papa's mac and cheese" and hockey. Rick also enjoyed playing guitar, spending time with his grandchildren, camping and summer at the point.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; his parents; his brother James Kuhner, 2 sons, Heith Kuhner of North Carolina and Sean Mitchell and his wife Jessica of Fairhaven; a daughter, Shannon Ellis and her husband Bancroft of Dartmouth; 4 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his extended family at Wilbur Point.
His visiting hours will be held on Thursday December 21st from 3:00 - 7:00 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
