Raymond Goolishian Sr.
DRACUT: Raymond Goolishian Sr., age 66, a longtime Dracut resident, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017.
He was the beloved husband and best friend of Christine (Nawn) Goolishian, with whom he celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary on February 4th.
Born on July 10, 1951 in Cambridge to the late William Kenneth Goolishian and Mary Elizabeth (Martin) Goolishian of Concord, MA.
Ray was raised in Dorchester and moved to Bedford, Massachusetts. He graduated Bedford High School.
Ray was employed by Colonial Cadillac as the Body Shop Manager.
He enjoyed first and foremost time with his wife and children as well as their many vacations together. Ray also found great joy in relaxing and working outdoors, as well as being at the ocean, boating and fishing. Cars were an incredible passion throughout his entire life; always focused on the challenge of repair, care, and maintenance, a challenge he met in every aspect of his life.
Ray is survived by his wife Christine, together they had eight children: Raymond Jr. and his wife Meghan and granddaughters Keira and Aislinn of Dracut, Heather Mary and her fiancé Andrew Dailey of Lowell, Nicole Elizabeth, Jessica Alice and Brian Thomas all of Dracut, and the late Matthew Joseph, Ann Marie, and Adam Goolishian; a brother, William E. Goolishian and his wife Nancy of Worcester; an uncle and aunt, John and Wilhelmina Greene of Abington; father-in-law Thomas Nawn of Tewksbury; also several cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as his beloved dog, Belle.
Calling hours are Monday, Dec. 18, from 5-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. His funeral procession will begin on Tuesday, Dec. 19, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment will be held at a later date at Tewksbury Cemetery.
