Rogen, Elisabeth (von Krogh) 87, of Bluffton, SC, formerly of Weston and Norway died on December 12, 2017. Elisabeth was loving wife to the late Neil E. Rogen who died on May 1, 2015. Born in Oslo, Norway she was the daughter of the late Johan von Krogh and Ingrid (Dahl) von Krogh, sister of the late Kari (von Krogh) Andresen and grandmother of the late Hans-Peter Dawson. She will be remembered by all as vivacious, strong willed, generous, witty and intelligent. She shared a life of adventure, travel and devoted companionship with her husband Neil and adored her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her relationships with family were filled with love, exuberance and pride. She had a knack for remembering everyone’s birthdays and knew each family member and friend for their unique gifts and talents. She was a lover of history, art and literature. She will be remembered as the reigning von Krogh family historian - a role she shared with her brother Hans von Krogh. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Stephanie Rogen and Gerard Tighe, her son John Rogen; her cherished grandchildren William, Christopher, and Julia Dawson. She was the sister of Hans von Krogh and his wife Ragnhild and sister-in-law to Richard Rogen.
A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday December 21, 2017 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Weston, MA at 12 Noon.
