Deveau and his wife Lou Ellen of Montgomery, TX and Judith A. Deveau of Roslindale, MA. Adored grandfather of Matthew and his wife Jennifer, Gregory and his wife Cassandra, Justin and his wife Stephanie, Robert Jr., Elizabeth, Emily and her husband Brooks, Michael Jr. and his wife Beth, Miranda and her husband Cole and Jennifer Deveau. Loving great-grandfather of Evelyn, Emmett, Ethan, Jackson, Leah, Cecilia Grace, Emerie, Caden, and Keegan,. Dear brother of Leo Deveau of Highland, CA, Joan Bruce of State College, PA, and the late Olive, Mary, Philip, Patricia, Elizabeth and Charles. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and by his beloved cat “Inky”. Funeral from the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home 210 Winthrop St. WINTHROP, on Tues, Dec 19 at 9am. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. John the Evangelist Church-Winthrop at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Boston. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Mon, from 6-8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name can be made to the Disabled American Veterans State House, Room 546, Boston, MA 02133. Bob was a combat medic in the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. He was a recent recipient of the Medal of Peace for his service during the Korean War. Bob was a life member of the Winthrop Lodge of Elks#1078 and was member of the Teamsters Union Local #25. Bob’s favorite pastime was fishing.
