BOYLSTON – Kathleen F. Relihan, a longtime elementary school teacher, died peacefully on December 11, 2017 at the Knollwood Nursing Center, West Boylston. She was born in Wilder, VT the daughter of the late James L. and Julia A. (Rutledge) Relihan.
Miss Relihan received her Bachelor’s Degree from Worcester State College and her Masters of Education from Boston University. She devoted her career to educating young people as they entered their formative years. She worked for 2 years in the Upton school system and then as a third-grade teacher at the Rice School in Holden for 28 years before retiring in 1973. A longtime member of the Church of Christ Scientist, Kathleen was active at the Second Church of Worcester as well as the First Church in Boston.
A graveside service will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery, Boylston in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Second Church of Christ Scientist, 255 Salisbury St., Worcester, MA 01609. Arrangements are in the care of the FAY BROTHERS Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston.
