Geraldine M.”Jerry” (Robbins) Wright, 78, of Whitman, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday December 14th after a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence T. Wright, II
Jerry was born in Boston, daughter of the late Francis and Eva (LeGendre) Robbins. Jerry was a lifelong resident of Whitman and a graduate of Whitman High.
She was a devoted wife and mother, who enjoyed cooking, cleaning, Sunday dinners, people watching and animals, also loved her trips to Foxwoods and Vermont with her husband “Larry”.
Loving mother of, Susan Lundgren and her husband David, Karen Shaughnessy and her husband John, Laurie Gomes and her husband Michael, Lawrence T. Wright, III and Jennifer Disharoon and her husband Dennis; also grandmother of sixteen, including the late Kevin Gomes and Jason Lundgren; also great-grandmother of four. She was also the sister of Earl Robbins and his wife Chris, the late Carolyn O’Connor and the late Edward Robins.
Her funeral services will be held on Wednesday December 20th at 11:00AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle ) Whitman. Interment will follow in the MA National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:30PM. Visitation will be on Tuesday December 19th from 4:00-8:00PM.
