BELMONT - Frances M. Anderson, 92, of Belmont, died Thursday, December 14, 2017 in her home after a period of failing health.
She was born on September 15, 1925 in Boston, MA., the daughter of the late John P. and Elizabeth (Mahoney) Sheehan. Frances worked for several years in the Account Receivable Department for First National Supermarket in Connecticut. She was a communicant of Saint Joseph Parish in Belmont and was a member and past President of the Laconia Friendship Club. Frances was also a member of the Belmont Senior Center and worked as a foster grandparent for Belmont Elementary School where she was affectionately known as "Grammy Fran". In 2016, she received the New Hampshire Partners in Education Senior Volunteer of the Year Award. Frances loved to travel and spend time with her family.
She is survived by her four sons; Frederick Anderson and his wife Roberta of Windham, Robert Anderson and his wife Marjorie of Charleston, MA, James Anderson and his wife Jane of Exton, PA and John Anderson and his wife Carol of Gilford, one daughter, Patricia Bushey and her husband Andrew of Belmont, one brother, Robert Sheehan of Florida, eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frederick C. Anderson in 2007, one daughter, Ellen Anderson Collins in 1975 and one brother, Paul Sheehan.
Calling hours will be held from 3PM to 7PM on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Saint Joseph Parish,96 Main Street, Belmont.
Burial will be at a later date in the family lot at Lindenwood Cemetery in Stoneham, MA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Franciscan Mission Services of North America, PO Box 29034, Washington, DC 20017.
