Vincent J. Scopelliti, 81, died Friday, December 15, 2017. He was the devoted husband of Joyce Carmela (Conte) Scopelliti. They had been married for 59 years.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Arthur and Mary Scopelliti, Sr. He had been the owner of Vee Jay Floor Covering since 1963.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Vincent Scopelliti, Jr and his wife Linda of Chepachet, Paul G. Scopelliti and his wife Lori Salisbury and Diane G. Scopelliti, both of Johnston, his grandchildren, Paul Scopelliti Jr and Shanna Scopelliti, and his brothers, Arthur Scopelliti Jr of Smithfield and Steven Scopelliti of Glocester. He is predeceased by his sisters, Florence Moskwa, Rita Pignatelli and Helen Ruggieri.
His funeral and burial will be private. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3-6pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
