LOWELL - Beverly Jean Bell, age 72, a resident of Fr. John’s Medicine housing complex on Market Street in Lowell, died peacefully in the care of her family and hospice Friday morning, December 15, at Wingate at Belvidere in Lowell, following a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Lynn in October 1945, one of a blended family of twelve, to the late Naomi Winifred (Mooers) Bell and John Lawrence Bell, and raised in Tewksbury. She lived the greater part of her life in Tewksbury, but had also resided in Lowell, Dracut, and Kissimmee, FL.
She was lovingly described as “full of life.” “Bev” enjoyed trips to Florida, and had a special place in her heart for animals.
Her surviving family includes her siblings, Dolores Winifred Gorman of Nashua, NH, Douglas D. Bell and his wife Carolann of Palm Coast, FL, Robin R. Bell and his wife Dawn of Naples, ME, Thomas B. Bell of Derry, NH, David R. Bell and his wife Kathy of Port St. Lucie, FL, Fern Sirti of New Durham, NH, Joseph “Chubby” Casaletto and his wife Claire of Peabody, numerous nieces and nephews, including her niece and care-giver Dottie (Bell) Connors of Derry, NH.
She was predeceased by her siblings, George Casaletto, Edwin Casaletto, Paul Casaletto, and infant Jimmy Casaletto.
Visiting hours Tuesday, December 19, from 4:00 until 6:45 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, Ph. (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950. Her funeral service will follow visiting hours at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
