Gaetano "Guy" P. Tomaselli, 95, of Derry, NH, died Wednesday December 13, 2017 in the Crestwood Care and Rehabilitation Center in Milford, NH. He was born in Lawrence, MA on October 1, 1922, a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Farvoli) Tomaselli. Guy had been a resident of Derry since 1949, formerly living in Lawrence, MA. He was a US Army veteran serving during WWII. Guy had been a self employed baker for most of his life, and had also worked for Merrimac Tile Co. for over 40 years. He served the town of Derry as a call fireman with the Derry Fire Dept. Guy was also a member and President of the Derry Kiwanis Club, was a member of the American Legion Post #9 in Derry, and served as Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus through St. Thomas Aquinas Church. He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Hoodkroft Country Club in Derry for over 40 years. He loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his son, Richard P. Tomaselli and his wife Mary of Rotonda West, FL; his daughter, Maureen Marino and her husband Joseph of Haverhill, MA; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Frances Ann (Indoccio) Tomaselli in 2010, and a daughter, Sandra Buonanno in 2001.
Following cremation, calling hours were held on Tuesday, December 19th from 4 – 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, December 20th at 9:30am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Avenue, Derry. The burial followed in Holy Cross Cemetery, Gilcreast Road, Londonderry, NH.
