Fall River – Jose M. Luiz III, age 81 of New Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Care Center. He was the beloved son of the late Mary (Cambria) and Jose M. Luiz II.
Jose was born in New Bedford and served in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a shovel and drill mechanic for Kennecott Copper Miners.
He is survived by his sons, Jose M. Luiz of Assonet and Todd M Luiz of New Bedford; daughter, Bonnie Mash of Tennessee; 6 grandchildren; siblings, George, Luiz, Tina Galarza, Diane Luiz and Dolores; as well as several nieces and nephews. Several siblings also predeceased him.
Jose’s funeral services will take place at a later date
