Obituary

Sanbornton-----Charles John Bousquet 84, of Rufus Road, died Tuesday, December 12, 2017 surrounded by his loving family at his daughters home.

Charlie was born June 12, 1933 in Brockton, Massachusetts son to the late Alfred and Mildred (Dorgan) Bousquet. He graduated from Brockton High School and servedin the United States Army from 1953-1956 as part of the K9 Unit where he trained and handled dogs. He was also the only enlisted member of the competition Pistol and Rifle Team on Okinawa. After the Army, Charliebecame a heavy equipment operator for Warren Brothers from Acushnet MA, before starting CJ Bousquet Company as a bulldozer Owner/Operator for over 40 years before retiring.

Charlie was an outdoorsman who enjoyed running foxhounds at the Blue Hill Camp in Middleborough, MA with family and friends before moving to New Hampshire in 1979. He enjoyed target shooting, hunting, raising hunting dogs, reading, and was a military history buff. He was known best for his abilities with a bulldozer, an incredible sense of humor, and his knowledge of small arms, which he often found unique ways to deploy! Above all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Charlie is survived by his son, John C. Bousquet and his wife, Susan of Meredith; his daughter, Charlene J. Royal and her husband, Tom of Gilford; three grandchildren, John R. Royal of Laurel, MD and Katelyn T. and Ryan T. Bousquet of Meredith; two sisters, Beatrice “Bea” A. Boucherand her husband Clarence "Sweeny" and Kathleen “Kay” Thurber and her husband, Blaine “Bill” all of Bourne, MA and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his four brothers, Alfred, Richard, Robert and James and his beloved beagle, Annie.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 5:00-7:00pm at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH using the carriage house entrance.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 11:00am also at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at 1:00 pm with military honors at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH
