Rita B. Bourdon, 95, formerly of Elm St. Woonsocket died Saturday December 2, 2017 at Oakland Grove Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Francis A. Bourdon.
Born and raised in Woonsocket she was daughter of the late Albert and Virginia (Mandeville) Morin.
She was employed by the State of Rhode Island as a senior clerk stenographer for the Division of Taxation from 1946 until her retirement in 1977.
She lived in North Providence and retired to Florida residing there from 1978 until she returned to Woonsocket in 1995. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s parish.
She was the sister of the late Gerard L. Morin, Marie Francoise G. “Fran” Morin and Gertrude Beliveau. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and their families.
Rita’s family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the caregivers at Oakland Grove who looked after and took such good care of Rita over the past several years.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10:30 am in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Saturday morning from 9-10 am, prior to Mass, in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket.
