Genevieve A. (Ramos) Houtman, 74, of New Bedford passed away Friday December 8, 2017. She was the wife of the late Russell W. Houtman.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of Louise (Perry) Ramos and the late Antone M. Ramos, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Jenny was currently employed as an administrative assistant for Child and Family Service, Inc. She had formerly worked for Compass Bank for many years.
Jenny loved the company of her close friends and the love of her granddaughters. She enjoyed baking and cooking.
She is survived by her mother, Louise; her son, Russell W. Houtman of Fall River; her sisters, Diane Cruz and her husband Edward, Toni Marie Grace and her husband Allen, and Deborah Ramos, all of New Bedford; two granddaughters, Autumn Simonds and Shelbie Souza; several aunts and uncles, including Shirley DiLibero of Milton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Kelly L. Houtman, sister of the late Gordon Ramos, and stepdaughter of the late John L. Correia, Jr.
