PORTLAND/OLD TOWN- Salli Jean Berger, 55 years old, originally from Old Town, Maine, went to sleep early on the evening of Saturday, Dec 9th. When she opened her eyes, she was looking into the loving, smiling face of Jesus. He gave her a hug and welcomed her to her new home. Her pain and suffering from cancer were gone forever. She smiled from ear-to-ear.
Salli was the most selfless, caring person anyone could ever know. Ask anyone who knew her and you would hear glowing stories of her devotion to her mother and her willingness to be helpful. She is survived by her mother, Jean Berger, and her four siblings: Tena Tommarazzo, Timothy Berger, Matthew Berger and Michele Milne, along with a variety of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held this Friday, Dec 15th. There will be a viewing from 4pm-6pm and the service at 6pm.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday Dec. 15 from 4-6 PM, followed by a 6 PM memorial service at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Rt. 22), in Buxton. Pastor Gary Braley will officiate. Burial will be in the spring at Limington Village Cemetery.
