Ira Timothy Cartee, 60, entered into rest on Saturday, December 9, 2017.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with Dr. Kevin Steele officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:30 until service time.
Tim Cartee was a graduate of Augusta Technical College with a certificate in Civil Drafting and Engineering. He worked in Augusta for several engineering firms over the years finally settling at Lawson Graham and Associates. Tim was surveying and drawing property plots of everything from the depths of Phinizy Swamp to Downtown Augusta and developing properties around the CSRA. He had a true talent for drawing and drafting with pen, ink, and paper in the early days to how modern computer drawing programs. Tim liked to fish and hunt with family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his daughter and granddaughters as much as possible. Tim will be missed by family, friends, and all who knew him.
Tim is survived by his daughter, Jessica Lauren; his siblings, Mike Cartee (Sheree), and Melissa Lee Cartee; his granddaughters, Taylin Nicole, Jayla Marie, and Kaylie Ann Jarrett; his niece and nephews, Arielle Nicole Cartee, Michael Cartee, and David Cartee; his stepbrothers, Butch and Jeff Allen; and by his former wife, Pamela Lee Cartee.
