Martha Parrish Nash, 91, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Friday, December 8, 2017, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM, Sunday, December 10, 2017, at Pinetta Cemetery in Irwin County with Bro. David Sumner officiating.
Mrs. Nash was born August 4, 1926, in Telfair County, Georgia, to the late Rob & Beatrice Sandifer Parrish. She graduated from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and Georgia Teachers College, now Georgia Southern University. She was an elementary school teacher in Berrien, Irwin, and Tift Counties. Mrs. Nash enjoyed cooking and taking care of others. She was a member of Pinetta Baptist Church where she formerly taught Sunday school.
Mrs. Nash is survived by her daughter, Sharon Howell of Irwin County; grandchildren: Natasha & Chad Whitley of Berrien County and Dean Howell of Irwin County; great-grandchildren: Savannah Howell, Nash Howell, Jones Howell, Kaylee Whitley, and Kason Whitley; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Osie Nash; a son, Robert Emmett Nash; and two sisters: Jewell Rowe and Robbie Nell McCard.
