Janice Marlene (Himes) Johnson, 60, Anderson, died December 7, 2017 at Community Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born August 20, 1957 in Maysville, Kentucky the daughter of Ernest and RoseMary (Wilson) Himes. She graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School and earned degrees from Purdue and Ball State University.
Janice was a Registered Nurse at St. John's Hospital for many years.
She attended East Side Church of God. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was an avid reader who enjoyed painting, pottery and genealogy.
She is survived by her four children, Russell Johnson of La Grange, KY; Daniel (Rachel) Johnson, Rachel Johnson, and Victoria "Tori" Johnson all of Anderson; her father, Ernest "Ernie" Himes of Lafayette; brother, Duane Himes of Lafayette, two nieces, a nephew and three great nieces.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Mark Shaner officiating.
Visitation will be on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at a later date in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Mt. Carmel, Kentucky.
Memorial contributions may be given to East Side Church of God or American Diabetes Association.
