Nawal Gesmallah Hamd

Manchester– Nawal Gesmallah Hamd, 38, died November 27, 2017 as a result of an automobile accident.
She was born in Juba, Central Equatoria, South Sudan on January 1, 1979 the second of six children to Hamd and Yabu Isa.
Nawal successfully completed both her primary and Junior High Schools in Juba and moved onto Khartoum, the capital of Sudan, where she graduated from Khartoum Al Gedida High Secondary School. Nawal, being one of the brighter students filled with strong insight, she immediately joined Sudan University for Science and Technology and eventually earned her Diploma in Accountancy.
After settling with her husband, Gasim, and their five children in Manchester, she joined the Salter School of Nursing and Allied Health and completed her training to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. She also studied Cosmetology at Empire Beauty School in Hooksett.
She was employed at a local nursing home and she and her husband established their own Beauty Shop.
Nawal was a caring people person and was socially interactive amongst the Sudanese and various communities throughout Manchester.
Every goodness she had treasured will be remembered by her family, friends and community.
Family members include her parents, husband, Gasim Juma Bago, four sons, Hani, Ganiko, Gasyio, Geado, one daughter, Hepay, four brothers, Tarik, Mostesim, Amin, Gimalla, and two sisters, Nadal, and Rofida.
Calling hours will be on Friday, December 8, 2017 from 4 to 7 pm at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 10 am in St. Augustin Church, Beech St.
Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Brown Ave.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to defray funeral expenses.
