Josephine Ruth (Landry) Tabor, 91, of Shrewsbury died Monday, December 4th in Willimansett Center East, Chicopee. Her husband of 64 years, John L. Tabor, Jr. died in 2015. She leaves two sons, Kenneth J. Tabor and his wife, Paula of Westfield and Kevin F. Tabor and his wife, Nancy of Webster; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was born in Milford the daughter of Harold and Josephine (Wheeler) Landry. Josephine graduated from St. Vincent School of Nursing and retired from St. Vincent Hospital after being a nurse for 30 years. She was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Church, Shrewsbury. Josephine enjoyed spending her time ballroom dancing and taking bus tours around the United States and Canada.
Her funeral is Friday, December 8th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a Liturgy of the Word at 10:00 AM in St. Roch’s Church, 334 Main Street, Oxford. Burial will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Shirley. Calling hours are Thursday, December 7th from 4:00 until 6:00 PM in the funeral home.
