Relich, Mark of Needham, MA and Naples, FL passed away on December 3, 2017. Mark was born on April 19th 1937 in Belle Vernon, PA. Son of Martha Krupen Relich and Mark Relich Senior.
Mark graduated from Bellmar High School class of 1955 and Penn State University class of 1959 where he was an honored brother of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He loved his university time and always kept the Nittany Lions close to his heart remaining a fan and rooting his team on at every event.
Professionally, Mark started his career at Kaufmans Department Store in Pittsburgh. He became the divisional VP of Filene’s managing several locations before leaving to work for New England Development where he also managed multiple local mall locations. Mark retired from Simon Properties in 2007 enjoying life as a snowbird spending his winters in Naples, FL.
Mark has been a proud resident of Needham since 1969. He loved his town was involved in the community on the Board of Needham Scholastic Athletic Booster Club, Board of Directors Needham Little League, Board of Needham Exchange Club, Chairman of the 1976 Bicentennial 4th of July Celebration and Chairman of the 4th of July Parade 1975.
He is survived by his wife Lianne Bullen Relich, son Richard C. Relich and daughter-in-law Lisa Morra Relich, his daughter Lisa Relich Bees, son-in-law Mark Bees. His extra special team of grandsons Zachary Relich (13), Michael Mark Relich (10), Marco Bees (8), and Hank Bees (5) all enjoying life together in Needham. Brother of Robert C. Relich and his wife Deborah of Perryopolis, PA.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave. Needham, on Saturday December 9, at 9am, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, Needham at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Friday from 5-8pm. Interment in Needham Cemetery. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in Mark’s memory to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio St Suite 500 Chicago, IL 60611.
