Rita A. (Krakowski) Przestrzelski, 92 of Worcester passed away on Wednesday November 29, 2017 in the Lutheran Rehab and Skilled Care Center. Her husband of 48 years, Edward F. Przestrzelski died in 1995.
She leaves four great-granddaughters, Alicia Pilling, Heather Leite, Jillian Leite and Paige Leite four great great-grandchildren, Caden, Jace, Hazelynn and Kallee – Lee and many nieces and nephews including John Raskett and Barbara Benoit. Rita was predeceased her daughter, Diane Roy, her granddaughter Tammy Paquin and her sisters. Rita was born in Worcester a daughter of the late Adam and Anna (Kubiak) Krakowski and has lived here all of her life.
Mrs. Przestrzelski was a graduate of Worcester Girl’s Trade High School. She met her future husband while working for a local bakery. After they married Rita devoted herself to raising and caring for her family. Rita was a religious woman and a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. She enjoyed crafts and making jewelry pieces, necklaces and bracelets. Rita also enjoyed bingo and having her hair done and all the fuss involved with getting “all dolled up”.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday December 5, 2017 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. A calling hour will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday December 5 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM.
