Obituary


Edward A. Moneghan, 78 of Pembroke, died on November 30th at the Brigham & Women’s hospital, after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Joyce (Stevens) Moneghan.

He was born in the Whitman Hospital in Whitman in 1939, second son of Samuel and Violet (Graham) Moneghan. He was a graduate of Whitman High School, Class of 1956 and joined the Army, serving overseas. When his tour was done he continued his career of Lithography with New England Book Components for 20 years, working his way up from single pressman to Vice President of operations of manufacturing. He joined the Boston Lithography Club and eventually became president, volunteering many hours to improve the quality of Lithography, implementing insurance, scholarship programs and he ran the National convention in Boston for the National Litho Club Association.

In addition to his wife Joyce, he is survived by his children, Joseph and Pam Moneghan, their children Daniel and Claire Moneghan and Matt Moneghan, Kelly Moneghan, her children Eion Laramee and the late Steven Laramee, and Teddy Moneghan, Paul Sepeck, his daughter Amanda and her child Noah, Dudley Sepeck, his daughter Kelsie Alexander and her child Sebastian, Patrick Sepeck and Dudley Sepeck, Jr., Sarah Jeanne Sudbrink, her children, Dustin, Wyatt, Oliver and Louis.

His funeral services will be held on Wednesday December 6th at 8:15AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rt 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Burial will follow in the MA National Cemetery in Bourne at 11:30. Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 5th from 1:30-3:30PM and 7:00-9:00PM.
