LOWELL—Katherine V. McCarthy, 91 years old, died early Thursday morning, October 20th, at Wingate at Andover. She was the wife of the late John R. McCarthy, who died in April of 2002.
She was born in Lowell, on January 30, 1914, a daughter of the late Maurice and Catherine (Lynch) Lyons. She was a graduate of the Sacred Heart Grammar School and Lowell High School.
For many years she had been employed as an Office Manager by the Greater Lowell Credit Bureau.
Mrs. McCarthy had resided at Parlmont Park, in Billerica, and previously on Crowley Street, in Lowell.
Surviving her are several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2 until 4 PM Sunday, October 23rd, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). Her Funeral Mass to be offered Monday, October 24th, at 1 PM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH. Burial in the Edson Cemetery, Lowell.
