Maria L. (Resendes) Pavao, age 67 of Taunton and Florida passed away tragically in Weeki Wachee Florida on November 28, 2017.
She was the beloved wife of Marcelino Pavao
Maria was born in Fail de Terra in Sao Miguel, Azores, a daughter of the late Manuel and Evelina (Costa) Resendes.
Before retirement Mrs. Pavao retired from Texas Instruments after over 30 years of service and later she retired to Florida and worked part time for the Florida School System where she enjoyed working with the students. Her true pleasure in life were travels with her family, love spending time on the beach, cooking delicious meals in a moment’s notice for her loved ones and being in close contact in the everyday lives of her children and grandchildren. She always made sure her family was taken care of and felt loved. Besides sharing her joy and contagious laughter with others her mission was to make sure family felt her presence and support, both financially and emotionally.
Besides her beloved husband Marcelino of over 48 years, she is survived by loving children, Paul Pavao of FL, Sandy Pavao-Pinarreta of Taunton and Robert Pavao of East Taunton and their spouse’s daughter-in-law Susana, son-in-law Mario and daughter-in-law Shalimar. Marias’ true pleasure came from being a grandmother of Tiffany, Zachary, Victoria, Sophia and Daydriana. Maria was also the sister of Gilbert Resendes, Conceicao Dais both of East Taunton, Evelina Moniz, Otilia Amaral both of Taunton and Cidalia Silva of New Bedford.
Mrs. Pavao’s funeral will be held on Tuesday , December 5, 2017 at 8:45 am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Saint Anthony Church School St., Taunton.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, December 4th from 4 to 7 pm in the Silva Funeral Home.
