FALL RIVER – Alfred Roland McCarthy, age 91, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2017 at Kimwell Nursing Center. He was the beloved husband of the late Grace Marie (Connell) McCarthy. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Cunningham James McCarthy, and Albina (Paradis) McCarthy.
Alfred “Mac”, a loving father is survived by his children Frederick James McCarthy of Fall River, Susan-Kay Theresa Healey of MI, Judy Elsbury of NY, Jerilyn McCarthy of FL and Terrance McCarthy of Fall River. He also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his son Christopher Jude McCarthy. His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Friday, December 1st, visitation will be at 9 a.m., A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., at Holy Name Church.
