Patricia L. Rego, age 74, a lifelong resident of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving on Monday, November 27, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Edwin A. Rego, to whom she was wed for thirty-two years at the time of his death on October 22, 2000.
Pat was born in Boston, MA on June 28, 1943, and was a loving daughter of the late Edward W. O’Neill, Sr. and Eleanor R. (LeGrice) Bowen.
A 1961 graduate of Mansfield High School, Mrs. Rego was a dedicated homemaker to her adoring family, who were the essence of her life and whom she dearly loved spending time with.
Pat was a former member, along with her late husband, of the Norton American Legion and she was also a former member of the Mansfield Grange. Her hobbies included cooking, sewing, painting and arts & crafts.
She is survived by her devoted and loving daughters Theresa A. Demers and her husband Thomas of Mansfield, and JoAnn A. Robitaille and her husband Michael of Mansfield. She was the cherished grandmother of Ashley Demers, Jacob Demers and Edwin Robitaille. She was the dear sister of Edward W. O’Neill, Jr. and his wife Doris of Arkansas, and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Thursday, November 30th at 10:00 A.M. the First United Methodist Church, 20 Hoppin Hill Ave, North Attleboro. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, November 29th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
