Hazel J. LeVan, age 88, passed away on Sat, Nov 24, 2017 at Wingate of South Hadley. June was born in England on Feb 16, 1929 to the late Chris and Dora (Payne) Bass. Hazel was predeceased by her husband John (Jack) LeVan who passed away in 2009 and her daughter Lisa Iwanicki who passed away in 2014. June leaves a son Christopher Magri and his wife Suzanne of N.C. and a daughter Carla Palazzo and her husband Michael of Belchertown. June also leaves a sister, Sheila Lavigne of Chicopee and a brother Colin Bass of England. And a beloved one son-in-law Mark Iwanicki and four grandchildren, Evan, Logan, Hannah Magri and Gina Palazzo. A Funeral Service will be held on Fri, Dec 1, 2017 at 8:30 AM from the Grise Funeral Home 280 Springfield St. Chicopee, MA with a funeral home service to take place at 9 AM. Burial will follow in the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Calling Hours will be held on Thurs, Nov 30, 2017 from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
