Terese Ann Weitz passed away on November 23, 2017 at her home in Tewksbury, Massachusetts surrounded by her loving family.
Born on May 13, 1932, Terese (Terry) grew up in Malden, Massachusetts, graduating from Cheverus High School in 1950.
She is survived by her two brothers, William McGinley of Florida and Bernard McGinley and his wife Phyllis of Mississippi.
She married Philip Howard Weitz on May 1, 1954, and together they had six children.
Terese worked at the I.R.S. in Andover, Massachusetts until her retirement.
Terry was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her six children, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
There was no person more dedicated to her family than Terry. She was very proud of each person and often shared stories of their lives. Her home was open not only to family, but also to neighbors and friends; she made everyone who visited feel like family. For that reason, her home was known as the Do Drop In.
Terry loved spending time her family, especially on the holidays. She was happiest when everyone was together, telling stories and enjoying each other’s company. She was also famous for her chocolate chip cookies and apple pie.
She will be missed by her children, Mary, James (Lili), John (Tracy), Larry (Kate), Paul, and Eugene; her grandchildren, David (Melissa), Mark, Sarah (Adam), Luke, Michael, Christian, Jenna, and Jason; and her great-grandchildren, Nathan, Owen, Olivia, and Samantha.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 198 Haggetts Pond Road, on Wednesday, November 29th at 11 a.m. for her Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury. At Terese’s request, there are No Calling Hours.
