Ann Glisson Griffin, 71, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Saturday, November 25, 2017, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Monday, November 27, 2017, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Ronald Parks officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Griffin was born August 2, 1946, in Washington County, Georgia, to the late Tommy & Mary Lizzie Glisson. She worked as an inspector at Y & W Sportswear and The Champion Company. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant, working with Tender Care and sitting with the elderly in their homes. She loved to fish and enjoyed camping. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marsha & John Puckett of Fitzgerald; a granddaughter, Amanda & K.C. Hodges of Fitzgerald; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Hodges and Ethan Hodges; two sisters: Willene Glisson and Geraldine Oxendine, both of Green Cove Springs, Florida; and a brother, Tommy Glisson of Green Cove Springs, Florida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Griffin and her son, Robert Larry “Bobby” Griffin, Jr.
