STANDISH – Andre “David” Lavigne, age 63, passed away at his home on November 24, 2017 after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer.
Dave was born in Biddeford Maine on February 8, 1954, a son of the late Raymond and Jeannine (Allaire) Lavigne.
After graduating from Biddeford High School, Dave worked as a Machinist for Maremont (Saco Defense) and most recently until his illness was employed by Nichols Portland (Parker).
Dave enjoyed spending time with his two sons and his extended family, listening to music and playing guitar for family singalongs. He liked all sports and loved gathering with friends and family to watch the Red Sox and Patriots. Dave also took pleasure in the outdoors, spending time golfing and kayaking.
Dave is also predeceased by a sister Mona.
He is survived by his two sons, Matthew (Jessica) Lavigne of Greenville, Maine and Rotonda West Florida, and Brian (Laken Roberts) Lavigne of Baltimore, Maryland; one brother, Mark Lavigne of Virginia Beach; and two sisters, Kim Perrigo of Saco and Audra Lamontagne of Biddeford.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 2nd at 3pm at the Kingdom Hall, 409 Long Plains Road, Buxton.
