Richard C. "Richie" Flynn, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at the Courtyard Nursing Home in Medford. He was 75 years of age.
Richie was born in Boston on July 6, 1942, a son of the late James F. Flynn and Elizabeth (MacKillop) Flynn. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system. Richie worked for many years at Flynn's Auto Salvage Company in Charlestown and as a driver for Elder Services for the City of Boston. He was a member of The Cronin Club of Charlestown and a loyal 40 year patron of Durgin Park Restaurant and The Black Rose in Boston.
Richie is the devoted brother of Robert "Gugga" Flynn, John Flynn and his wife Patricia, Paul "Unkie" Flynn and his wife Gail, James Flynn and his wife Beverly and the late Edward Flynn. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews and 8 grandnieces and grandnephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Richie's Funeral Mass on Monday morning, November 27, 2017 at 10 A.M. in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
