In Boston, Firmo Faria, November 22, 2017, he passed away in Brigham & Women’s Hospital following a brief illness at the age of 75. Firmo is survived by his beloved wife Maria (Ferreira) Faria of Taunton. He was born in St. Michael, Portugal, the son of the late Manuel & Gloria (Gouviea) Faria. He arrived in America in 1967 and has been a resident of Taunton since the 1985 and was formerly of Boston. He was employed as a baker for the Dunkin Donuts Corporation. Firmo will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather who cherished his time with family. He leaves his loving children, Ana Abreu and her husband Antonio of Taunton, Olga Faria and her fiancé Richard Savary of Canton, Albert Faria and his wife Ana of Taunton and Peter Faria of Georgia. Firmo also leaves his sister Adrianna Silva of Portugal and his two grandchildren, Evan Abreu and Richard Allen Savary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 27th at St Andrew the Apostle Church in Taunton at 12 pm. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery in Taunton. Arrangements are under the care of the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton.
