Meredith----Lucille Worster Riley, 92, of Meredith, NH died on November 20, 2017 at Lakes Region General Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Lucille was born in Lee, Maine the daughter of the late Ardie and Mae Worster. She grew up in Monroe, NH and graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy in Vermont.
Lucille married Paul Riley in 1947. They settled in Laconia and had two daughters. Lucille loved the time she spent living in the West Indies, travelling in Pennsylvania Amish Country, Camping in New Hampshire and travelling with her husband when he sang with the Lamp Lighter’s Quartet.
Lucille will be greatly missed and remembered for her twinkling eyes and smile, her kindness, patience and thoughtfulness. She knew how to make everyone feel special and know they were loved. She was admired and respected for her genuine Christian values and love of her Lord.
Lucille is survived by two daughters, Sharyn Childs and her husband Irving of Meredith and Pamela Gove of Alton; two sisters, Ollie Cheney and her husband Raymond of Monroe, NH and Adria Wright of West Parris, Maine; six grandchildren, Christopher Childs and Catherine Morse of Sanford, Maine, Tracey Cote and her husband George of Laconia, Jennifer Taylor and her husband Christopher of Meredith, Brooklyn Harper of Alton and Isaiah Gove of Meredith; eight great- grandchildren, Nicholes Converse, Zachary Childs, Evan Childs, Ian Childs, Katie Childs, Jonathan Childs, Jacob Taylor, Hannah Taylor and two great-great-grandchildren; Madison and Danielle Clark.
There will be no calling hours.
A private celebration of Lucille’s life will be held by the family.
