Claire E. (Desfosses) Mailhot, 89, of Manchester, died October 19, 2005, at Catholic Medical Center.
She was born in Manchester, July 9, 1916, and was the daughter of Thomas and Alexandrine (Desfosses) Desfosses. She lived in East Longmeadow, MA for 2 years and had worked for Pratte & Whitney. She later worked for J.F. McElwain Shoe Co. in Manchester.
She was a communicant of St. Marie Church where she was a member of the Sodality of St. Anne, and the Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Blue Army and the William B. Cashin Senior Activities Center and the Third Order of St. Francis.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Hildege Tousignant in 1957 and by her second husband, Arthur J. Mailhot in 1982.
Family members include a son, Roger R. Tousignant of Manchester; two daughters, Juliette Bonenfant and Judith Courchesne, both of Manchester; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Friday October 21, 2005 in St. Marie Church. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
