Leroy Hancock, 82, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017, in Pinellas Park, Florida. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 24, 2017, at Vickers Church in Berrien County with the Rev. Larry Daughtry officiating. Mr. Hancock will be laid to rest at Vickers Church Cemetery in Berrien County. The family will receive friends Friday, November 24, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at Vickers Church in Berrien County.
Born October 27, 1935 in Berrien County, Mr. Hancock was the son of the late Charlie Hancock and Eula Rutherford Hancock. Before retiring, he was a contractor in the construction business. He loved to talk to people; enjoyed farm life; hunting and being with family.
Mr. Hancock is survived by his wife, Gwen Hancock of Pinellas Park, Florida; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Roy Hancock of Pinellas Park, Florida and Tommy and Cristina Hancock of Paraguay, South America; one brother and sister-in-law. J. B. and Vivian Hancock of Irwinville; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Frances Godwin of Irwinville, Margaret Albritton of North Carolina and Shirley and Elbert Sumner of Tifton; one grandson and his wife, Adan and Crescencia Hancock; and one great-grandson, Joshua Hancock.
