Carolyn Ward Connor, 76, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died on October 26, 2017.
Mrs. Connor was born in Ben Hill County, Georgia on December 30, 1940, to Dr. Francis O’Berry Ward and Mrs. Vivian Paulk Ward. She was preceded in death by her parents, also husband, David E. Bailey and her oldest son, M. Ward Bailey, all from Fitzgerald, as well as her second husband, David L. Connor of Tifton, Georgia.
Mrs. Connor is survived by her sons, David “Chip” Bailey and his wife Beth, Washington, D.C., and A. Luke Bailey and wife Alex, New Freedom, Pennsylvania and eight grandchildren. Also, her sisters Francine Ward Liles of Fitzgerald and Elaine Ward Hallum of Jackson, Mississippi, her brother-in-law, Clyde Bailey and cousin, Edna Lou Dorminy of Fitzgerald and many nephews and nieces.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at a later date in Fitzgerald. Memorial donations can be sent to Fellowship Baptist Church, Fitzgerald, Georgia.
