Cofer, Sr., James “Bill”, 89, was called home Thursday, November 16, 2017 in Louisville, KY.
He was born to Horace and Mary (Moore) Cofer March 2, 1928.
Bill worked for L & N Railroad as a Machinist, where he retired in 1985 after 43 years of service, and a proud U.S. Marine.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Katherine Anderson
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 64 years, Patsy (Brown) Cofer; his children, James “Jim” Cofer, Jr. , Garry Cofer (RaeAnn), Rebecca Clark, and Lisa Baker (Eddie); seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Troutman.
Funeral services will be Monday at 12:00 PM at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway; with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West.
Visitation is Sunday 2:00 - 8:00 PM.
