New Bedford – John F. Robinson, age 90 of New Bedford, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Joan M. (Grimshaw) Robinson and the son of the late Mary (Williams) and William Robinson.
John was born in New Bedford and was a U.S. Army Veteran of WW II. He was a teacher and an administrative assistant at New Bedford High School and served on the Board of Directors at the New Bedford Credit Union.
He is survived by his 2 sons; John Robinson, Jr. and Joseph W. Robinson; siblings, William Robinson and Helen Vincent; as well as 1 niece and 2 nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held on the evening of Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 8:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
