Wilda E. Tonnesen, 88, of Jeff Lane, Derry, NH died Monday June 10, 2002 in Tempe, AZ. She was born in Toma, Wisconsin on September 2, 1913, a daughter of the late Edward and Celeste (Hall) Becker. She was a resident of Derry, NH for over 10 years, formerly living in Virginia. She was a graduate of Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, IL. Her life’s work was being a pastor’s wife and schoolteacher. She and her husband pastured to many churches over the years.
She is survived by two sons, R Bruce Tonnesen, of Derry, NH, Martin E. Tonnesen, of Hinsdale, NH, one daughter, Lois C. Anderson, of Tempe, AZ, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one sister, Edith Lenz, of Toma, Wisc. She was predeceased by her husband Rev. Robert Tonnesen.
There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 15, 2002 at 10:30am at the Windham Bible Church, Cobbetts Pond Road, Windham, NH. Burial will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry, NH.
