Warren K. Mogan, 65, of Webster, MA, passed away on November 11, 2017. He is survived by his son Jeffrey, Jeffrey’s wife Kathryn and his grandchildren, Avery and Cameron. He is also survived by 7 of his 12 siblings, Joan, Elaine, Lucy, Linda, Shirley, Mary, and Alan, and over 40 nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews.

Warren was born and raised in Waltham, MA, before moving to Ledyard, CT, in 1986, then Webster, MA in 2016. Warren met his wife Virginia in 1970 when they were just 16 years old. Their first date was to the Boston Garden to see Black Sabbath. They were married in 1973 and spent 47 wonderful years together before Virginia’s passing in 2015 at the age of 61. In 2016, Warren was blessed to meet Carol Remillard, with whom he shared a deep love and planned to spend his life.

Warren dedicated his life to coaching and mentoring youth. He volunteered with the Ledyard Youth League and was a member of the Parks and Rec. Commission for 20 years. He also coached Freshman and JV baseball at Ledyard and Varsity baseball at Grasso Tech, where he won the 2002 CVTC championship. He coached his son Jeff from tee-ball into high school and was proud that Jeff played college baseball at UMass Boston.

Warren was kind, loving, and took pleasure in the simple things in life. He enjoyed traveling throughout New England and spending time in his second home in Down East Maine. He also enjoyed Boston sports, golf, and was an avid fisherman. He loved being a grandpa.

Warren had a business degree from the University of New Haven and worked as a technical writer and logistics analyst at Electric Boat for 28 years before retiring in 2014. He had many great co-workers and continued to meet them for dinner after his retirement.

He was predeceased by his father, John B. Mogan, his mother, Mary C. (Hines) Mogan, and siblings Billy, Jack, Eddie, Michael, and Betsy.

Warren will be missed immensely until his family and friends see him again. His family is dedicated to keeping his memory alive and ensuring that his 2 grandchildren keep him in their hearts.
