Donna M. (Dion) Flynn age 58 of Brockton, died Friday November 10, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was the devoted wife of Brendan D. Flynn for 38 years. Donna was born in Brockton a daughter of Patricia (Albough) Dion of Brockton and the late David L. Dion. She had lived in Brockton for most of her life with the exception of three years in Hawaii where her husband was stationed in the Air Force.
A 1976 graduate of Brockton High School, Donna also received a degree in dietary science from Laboure Junior College in 1978. She retired this year as office manager at Eye Health Services in Easton after 20 years of service.
In her free time, Donna enjoyed quilting, knitting and reading. Most especially, she cherished spending time with her family and playing with her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a selfless, generous and loving lady.
In addition to her husband and mother, Donna is survived by her three sons, Patrick D. Flynn and his wife Valerie of Brockton, David J. Flynn and his wife Leah of W. Bridgewater, and Sean M. Flynn and his wife Katrina of Brockton; four grandchildren, Thomas and Taylor Flynn and Henry and Nora Flynn. She is also survived by her siblings, Debra DeCosta and her husband Peter of Taunton, Dennis Dion and his wife Susan of Bridgewater, and David Dion and his wife Robin of Brockton. She leaves many nieces and nephews and was a sister-in-law to many.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (rte. 123) Brockton on Monday 4-7pm followed by a funeral service. Burial will held at a later date.
