Eleanor M. Viscione (62) passed away at noon on Wednesday, November 8, 2017. She was the cherished and devoted daughter of Eleanor Viscione.
A life-long resident of West Roxbury, Massachusetts, Ellie seemed to know everyone in town. It’s not surprising as she had worked at the local branch of Santander Bank (and its previous incarnations) for the last 42 years. She was a graduate of Roslindale High School, Class of 1973, where she made friendships that have lasted to this day. Fun, quick-witted, helpful, and kind, Ellie always welcomed you with a smile and a generous heart.
Ellie loved country music (especially Marty Stuart and The Fabulous Superlatives) and traveled throughout the USA, most notably to Nashville, to attend concerts and events. She enjoyed shopping, trying her luck at casinos, and going to new restaurants. Children made her day. Though she had none of her own, she had two goddaughters, one godson, and was like an aunt to the children of her friends.
In celebration of her life, a gathering will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in The Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
