John Michael McKinney Sr, of Pembroke formerly of Newton passed away on November, 7, 2017 at the age of 71. He was the son of the late Herbert and Evelyn McKinney. Brother of Herbert and Nancy McKinney, Linda Rogers and the late Jane Patten, Janice and Robert Ovesen. He is survived by his family Nancie Guilford McKinney, children; John McKinney Jr., Kelly McKinney and Jeffrey Collins, Daniel and Caitlin McKinney and Nicholas McKinney. Grandchildren; Justin, Katelyn, Caroline and Leah McKinney and his Dearest Friend Linda Spargo. John was a Brother-in-law to many and an Uncle to Several Nieces and Nephews. He was in the United States Marine Corp., A member of AA for many years. John had a passion for singing and loved to play golf. John had an exceptional sense of humor and the natural ability to make everyone laugh. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: St. Jude 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 17, at 10:00AM at St. Theclas Church, in Pembroke. Burial will be announced at a later date.
