Betty Jo Partridge Chumley Jackson, 79, of Tifton passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017, at D. W. McMillan Memorial Hospital in Brewton, Alabama. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Jackson at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Tift Memorial Gardens, where she will be laid to rest. Jimmy Stone will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 11, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Malachi Clark, Blake Pferrman, Roy Sheller, Caleb Stone, Jimmy Stone and Derrick Jackson will serve as pallbearers.
Born February 6, 1938 in Albertville, Alabama, Mrs. Jackson was the daughter of the late Oscar Esker Partridge and Vada Mae Partridge. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Willie Harold Jackson. Before retiring, she was employed at Tifton Aluminum Company for 25 years.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by two sons, Ronnie Partridge of Albertville, Alabama and Mike Chumley of Tifton; two step-sons, Rodney Jackson of Enigma and Derrick Jackson of Nashville; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Myra and David Lacey of Albertville, Alabama, Barbara and Derrell Holsonback, of Boaz, Alabama, Lisa Chumley Sheller and husband, Roy of Tifton and Kathy Chumley of Flomaton, Alabama; ten grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
