NANCY W. PAQUETTE
Gilford-The Soda Shoppe in Laconia lost a loyal customer on November 3, 2017, a woman who loved to shop for bargains and live by her own terms, a soul now deserving of rest and peace. The roads and streets will be less traveled………
Nancy W. Paquette, 80, died after a struggle with several health complications at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.
She was born Nancy Deborah Weeks on May 5, 1937 in Laconia, the daughter of the late Norman S. and Dorothy E. (Flanders) Weeks and had been a resident of Gilford for most of her life.
A graduate of Laconia High School Class of 1955, Nancy went onto Becker Junior College in Worcester, Massachusetts graduating in 1959 from the General Business Training Program.
Prior to her retirement Nancy worked for her father’s insurance and real estate office, Belknap Agency in Laconia. She also worked and volunteered for many years at the Belknap Mill. In her younger years she was employed at the former Goodhue Boat Yard in Gilford.
In addition to her parents Nancy is predeceased by her husband, J. Normand Paquette in 2004.
Nancy is survived by her son Norm, Jr. of Laconia; her two brothers Stephen E. Weeks of Laconia, and Norman K. “Rick” Weeks of Gilford; her three sister-in-laws, Patricia M. Paquette and Pauline B. Weeks of Laconia, and Marie E. Varle of Manchester. She is also survived by her goddaughter Jamie Lynn Guyer of Astoria, NY as well as nieces, and nephews.
