James Hackett, 88, passed away on October 13, 2017 in Quincy, Massachusetts.
He grew up in Benton, Maine, then served in the Navy directly after high school. Upon discharge from the Navy, he worked in various Boston restaurants including the Parker House. During his latter years, he enjoyed his summer visits to midcoast Maine, staying with his relatives. He was a gentle man and a gentleman who will be missed by his family, close friends, and neighbors of the 80 Clay Street Quincy Massachusetts elderly living complex.
