WINDHAM- Laci Hanken, age 35, passed away peacefully at her home in Windham with her husband and family at her side.
Remember, Remember the 6th of November, the strength, compassion and love. There is no reason the strength and compassion of Laci Hanken will ever be forgotten.
She was a brave, strong willed woman who spread so much love in this world. Her caring and sharing nature led her to a career in childcare and then mental health counseling. Lace lived each day to the fullest making memories with her family gardening, kayaking and adventuring. Being a mom fulfilled one of her biggest dreams. Elle Whit had many wonderful friends who were like family to her, many of which were responsible for creating a beautiful deck for her to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of her backyard. She filled her home with many of her creative projects as well as sharing them with her family and friends.
Laci passed away in her home on November 6th surrounded by her loving family.

The Betty J. Borry Breast Cancer Retreats (http://www.bjbbreastcancerretreats.org/) were where Laci found a new group of sisters. Her BJB sisters take great care to transport each other on wonderful retreats to escape the reality of treatments and to fill their souls!
METAvivor (http://www.metavivor.org/) is an organization fighting to increase awareness of advanced breast cancers, like stage IV, and push for equity in research funding. Metastatic needs your help... even if you don't donate, please go to the website and share share share. It's not ok that 30% of people diagnosed with breast cancer are or will be stage IV but only 2-5% of funding goes towards it.
