Vincent N. Ricci age 83 of Brockton, died Friday November 3, 2017 at St. Joseph Manor after a period of failing health. He was the loving husband of Gertrude M. (Bethune) Ricci for 61 years. Vincent was born and raised in Quincy a son of the late Domenico and Philomena (Delmonte) Ricci. He had lived in Brockton for the past 28 years having previously lived in Braintree.
Vincent was a graduate of Quincy High School and had attended Saunders Electronics Technical School. He retired in 1996 as an Underwriter Laboratories inspector after over 27 years. Previously he had worked at Diane Controls in Dorchester and Pyrotector in Hingham.
Vincent had been a member of the Council on Aging and Old Colony Elder Affairs both in Brockton, the Canton Art Association, Adams Heights Men’s Club in Braintree and Anversa of Abruzzi. Vincent also enjoyed painting, photography, bowling and working around his home.
Vincent was devoted to his family and spent many years involved with his children’s activities in little league, PTA, Girls Scouts and Boy Scouts. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and was most proud of raising his five children.
Vincent was the father of Domenic A. Ricci and his wife Stefni of Brockton, Vincent J. Ricci and his wife Jayne M of Avon, Rosemarie A. Ricci of Brockton, Nicholas R. Ricci of Manchester, NH and the late Deborah McDermott. He leaves five grandchildren Thomas McDermott and his wife Jessie, Elena Mari, Ariella Ricci, Savannah Ricci, and Domenic James Ricci and two great grandchildren Lucas and John Mari. He was the brother of Frances Anzalone and her husband Tony of Saugus, Donna Marie Ricci of Lawrence and Pamela Nitzberg and her husband Dr. Mark Nitzberg of Andover.
A memorial gathering will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (rte. 123) Brockton 11 am-2 pm on Saturday November 18, 2017 with a prayer service at 2 pm.
